Prerequisite: Read “Call Charlie Sheen Insane, but... Part 1”

To refresh your memory Charlie Sheen stated, “There was a feeling, it just didn't look any commercial jetliner I've flown on any time in my life and then when the buildings came down later on that day I said to my brother 'call me insane, but did it sorta look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition'?” Then, to further quote Charlie Sheen "...19 amateurs with box cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75 percent of their targets: that feels like a conspiracy theory."

Well, now that we have ruled out any realistic possibilities (in Part 1) that our government acquired and used planes as missiles against our people without enough people knowing that the secret would be out by now, let us assume for this post that some way was figured out. Just so that we can discredit the “controlled demolition” part of the conspiracy.

Now, for the statement which started me on this journey. Charlie Sheen said, “...'call me insane, but did it sorta look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition'?” The fact that he would say that indicates a few things. One is he does not know much about “controlled demolition”, and another is that he does not know much about the construction of the WTC.

In every building there are load bearing structures. In your home, for example, if you are removing a wall you must first determine if it is a “load bearing wall.” In each building there have to be parts which hold up what is above it. In a multi story house some walls and sometimes pillars (usually seen in basements) in lower levels, “hold up” the stories above it. Then when you get to the top floor they support the roof. A VERY DANGEROUS thing to do would be to remove a load bearing element. One could be killed in a collapse if the load bearing pillars were removed from a basement. All of these load bearing elements have “safety factors” built in. It may take only one fourth the size beam to hold up the building in calm conditions. For example, no wind, no snow on the roof, no minor earthquakes, no people moving back and forth shifting the load.

The way that a “controlled demolition” is done is that ALL of the load bearing structures at one level are cut. This is usually done near the ground, but in the WTC it would have to have been done near the level that each plane was to have hit the buildings so that it looked like the planes did it. Not cut all of the way through, but MOST of the way. As mentioned earlier there are “safety factors.” So they are cut to the limit of the safety factors. Then explosive charges are placed at each cut. Then wires are run from each explosive to a central place where they can be detonated. To perform the demolition you simply go to that central place and push a button. Sounds easy right? Sounds like the government could have done that with NO problems, right?...

WRONG.

It is not as easy as someone like Charlie Sheen may want to believe. Let's study some specifics of the WTC design. Two big factors went into the unique design. First, the architect for the WTC wanted wide open floor plans, not like older skyscrapers with a lot of inside walls for structure. Second, he was afraid of heights. (Ironic he designed the world's tallest buildings.)

So, he developed a unique design for the structure. There would be a small inner core approx. 90 x 130 ft. This would provide some structure and house elevators, stairs, hvac, etc. Then there would be nothing for support until you got to the outside “walls” which were themselves a support structure. The outer “walls” were actually 244 vertical steel beams, made in sections and joined together so that each one was almost 135 ft. tall. Then there was a small, one and a half foot wide, almost floor to ceiling tall window in between each of these 244 steel support beams.

This solved the two before mentioned problems. Lots of open space, and narrow windows so you would not feel like you could fall out. That way even if you were afraid of heights you would not be afraid of this building when inside. This makes for a unique and strong structure. And a difficult structure to demolish.

As mentioned before to perform a “controlled demolition” you first need to cut most of the way through ALL load bearing structures at a given level. This means all of the columns in the center core as well as ALL 244 steel beams around the outside, in BOTH WTC towers. First off they would have to have rented or somehow taken an entire floor in each building. With the open design there is no way to cut through 244 beams all the way around one floor without an office worker or two seeing it, so the floor would have to have been “closed.” Additionally, they probably would have had to rent one or two floors above and below where they were going to cut. The sounds and smells involved in cutting may be noticeable within a floor or two. Additionally, they would have had to stop work anytime an elevator got close to the floor.

As for the means of cutting, fastest choice would probably be oxyacetylene torches. A few problems with their use in this type of environment. One is ventilation. The office hvac system would not be capable of bringing in enough fresh air and exhausting enough “bad” air to keep up with much torching. Additionally, the gases would smell all over the building. Another problem with torches is the light. These torches are so bright that if you look at the flame you could go blind. So even if you remove all potential witnesses from the floor you are working on and floors above and blow it, people in other buildings around the WTC could see the torch lights, even in broad daylight.

The next fastest (months of cutting instead of weeks of torching) would be cutting with abrasive grinding wheels, frequently made with diamond chips to cut through about anything. This would have less smell than torches, and while it too gives off light in the way of sparks, it is not nearly as bright. It is however, much louder than torches. The noise may require even more floors above and below to be rented in order for no one to hear. And even though it is less light than torches, with the noise they would probably have wanted to do this at night, and then even the lesser light would be a problem. Also, considering that the attack was only 9 months into George W. Bush's presidency, the months of planning this charade, followed by the months of cutting with grinding wheels would mean that our government would have had to start planning this during the Clinton administration. This is bad for the Charlie Sheen's of the world because the ONLY reason to blame the government for this is to tarnish George W. Bush.

You may be asking “Why not just shut the blinds to block the light?” You must keep in mind that what you are cutting is basically the window frame. These 244 steel beams (times the two towers 488 beams) were the sides of frames for about 480 + windows. During the day the windows had to be open, so that no one would suspect anything when they saw it from other buildings. So, each night almost 500 windows would have to be completely sealed from ALL light, then each morning almost 500 windows were unsealed so no one would suspect, and all this was done perfectly for months on end, without ANY mistakes. Do you buy that?

The last way to cut would be with saw blades. This would be loud, and probably take years. So I doubt Charlie Sheen or anyone else putting these theories out would want that.

There is at least one other MAJOR problem with ANY cutting method. As mentioned before one must cut MOST of the way through the supports first. The windows were in between the 244 support beams. And they were on the INSIDE of that. Therefore, if one were to cut most of the way through the support beams from the inside you would cut out past the windows themselves. During the months of cutting it would leak in rain and flood floors below the demolition floors. Since the beams outside the windows would be cut it would be clearly visible from nearby buildings. Additionally, the odds are that you would probably break some of the windows cutting their frames out from around them. The cuts in the beams would also have kept the robotic window washing system from following the tracks made from the beams themselves. These robots followed the beams from the roof almost to the ground and then back. They were running constantly. Someone would have noticed if the window washing stopped months before September 11th.

Now that we have determined that it was virtually impossible to have prepared for the “controlled demolition” without hundreds of people knowing about it, we have to bring in the planes again. Yes, the planes that could not have been acquired by our government anyway (Part 1). Those planes.

After months of preparation cutting most of the way through the support for the buildings at a particular level, and having the good luck of not having any high winds to have blown the towers over before September 11th, they then had to precision fly these planes (presumably by remote control) into a location in each building far enough from the cuts and explosives not to damage them, but close enough that when they they detonated, it would look as if the planes had caused it.

Ok, let's presume that they were able to pull that off. In their weakened state why did the towers not fall over when hit by such heavy planes flying so fast? If all of this were some big conspiracy I am sure that no one envolved would have minded that happening. Actually, logically, they would have planned on it. Why put in the explosives at all? That much mass at that speed would have knocked the tops off of the weakened buildings. There would not have been explosives at all if it were a government plot. So, that too makes Charlie Sheen's “controlled demolition” idea even more ridiculous.

Is it possible for our government to have pulled all of this of in such a short time (less than 9 months since the whole point is that George W. Bush did it all) without thousands of people having seen and/or heard things, bringing up all kinds of questions from day one?

Should we do as he suggests and say Charlie Sheen is insane?

Is there anyone who REALLY believed that crap before the facts proved it could not have happened as Charlie Sheen would like it to have happened?

Call Charlie Sheen Insane, but... Part 1

I feel some concern dignifying this theory with a logical response. Some might think that responding in a logical way to such an illogical argument lends it credibility. While I understand that mindset, I first off state that there is NO credibility to these illogical arguments, and regardless of how ridiculous the argument from the other side, only by engaging in discussion can we show to ANYONE willing to think, how not credible that argument is. And, the fact that I am the one discussing a subject would lend no credibility to anyone, especially someone who states that our government blew up the WTC on September 11th. One should not make such assertions unless one is willing to look at the facts and the logical conclusions to those assertions. In this and the following post I will do just that.

My hope is that this may assist those with an open mind to listen to logic with regard to what really happened on September 11th, and then use FACTS to come to their own conclusions.

First, let's go over some of the “theories” we want to challenge. Charlie Sheen's comments, on the phone with some conspiracy theorist's radio show were, “There was a feeling, it just didn't look any commercial jetliner I've flown on any time in my life and then when the buildings came down later on that day I said to my brother 'call me insane, but did it sorta look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition'?” Then, to further quote Charlie Sheen, "...19 amateurs with box cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75 percent of their targets: that feels like a conspiracy theory." I have only heard bits and pieces of this interview with Charlie Sheen and I never heard who he thinks were flying the planes. I suppose in Charlie Sheen's mind it is possible that the planes never hit the WTC. Perhaps it was all some Hollywood special effects which were given to the news organizations to have them play it as if they had taped it themselves. However, with all of the individual eyewitnesses I doubt that even Charlie Sheen would claim that the planes never hit at all. So that leaves two possibilities, U. S. government agents were willing to fly to their deaths to start a “war on terror”, or the theory I have heard most (though I did not hear it in the bits and pieces of Charlie Sheen's interview) is that the U. S. military took four airliners and rigged them with remote controls so as to fly them from the ground into the WTC and the Pentagon. I would expect that this theory usually holds that flight 93 which went down in Pennsylvania probably had a malfunction.

For any conspiracy to work the fewest possible number of people can know about it. Therefore, every step of the way they must do things with few people, and perhaps with some performing parts not knowing the whole. Example, perhaps the people who made the remote controls for the planes may have been told they were to be used to fly a bomber to be used for target practice. (I used bomber rather than fighter because it would be multiple engines, and have similar flight controls.)

Let's start with the planes themselves. What would have to have happened in order to do the remote controlled thing? First the planes would have to be acquired. One possibility is that the government would have bought the four planes from the airlines. If they had made duplicates some mechanic or accountant at the airline would question why they had the same number of planes after September 11th they had before, if a couple supposedly crashed into the WTC. To do this would involve dozens of executives at TWO different airlines and the transfer of millions of dollars from the government to these airlines which would involve dozens of accountants at each of TWO airlines to take care of the money. Then the planes themselves would have to be delivered to the government. This would involve dozens of mechanics, flight crews, etc. There would have to be explanations given to the mechanics and flight crews, perhaps the planes were going somewhere to be repaired, though the mechanics would probably be the ones to know where and why a repair would happen.

We have already blown the secrecy on which ALL conspiracies rely. We have at least 80 to 100 people at the airlines who know that someone took these planes. Even if most of the airline employees do not know why, they may start putting two and two together. This does not work.

So let's go back to the making duplicate planes theory since the buying of planes from the airlines has too many holes in it. So, the government buys some planes elsewhere. They could buy used planes from somewhere, though I expect that a used plane sale of that type would be hard to hide. Besides, the planes that went into the buildings were new models. If I recall most were 767s and there are probably not too many of those on the used market anyway. They could buy new ones and claim they are for retrofit into some government use planes. This is probably most plausible. Boeing would probably not question why the government bought them. Ok, so now the planes have been acquired in the only way even remotely possible.

So, let's do some math. It takes Boeing how long to make four aircraft? Well, the most recent order made by China for 60 Boeing 787s has Boeing officials claiming they should be able to deliver six of them by the summer of 2008, more than two years from now. So, if that lead time remains static... if the U. S. government purchased four new Boeing aircraft available for use on September 11th, 2001 they would have been ordered sometime around September of 1999. Therefore, if President Bush carried out some government plot to murder Americans and get us into a “war on terror” by having planes flown into buildings, the plot was devised during the Clinton administration. But this cannot be, because the only reason to make this claim is to say that republicans are bad and democrats are good. Oh well, I guess that doesn't work either.

So, let's try this one. Say, elite commandos store the remote control equipment on the actual airline planes before September 11th. Then these commandos hijacked the planes on September 11th, installed the remote control devices, and parachuted out of the planes as others remotely flew the planes into buildings. I love my country. But you could not get me to murder like that just to get us into a “war on terror”. Do you really think that enough American soldiers would do something like that, AND never tell about it later? Charlie Sheen suggested we call him insane. Well, if you believe ANY scenario in which our government COULD, let alone would, have done these hijackings you probably are insane.

One of Charlie Sheen's comments on the planes is that the second plane to hit “...just didn't look any commercial jetliner I've flown on any time in my life...” This shows how totally absurd this portion of his argument is. His comments indicate that he thinks the government flew a military bomber, or something so easily discernible from a commercial jetliner into the WTC, that HE could easily see the difference, but Boeing engineers who design and build the planes, pilots who fly and see the planes daily, mechanics who work on the planes daily, and all the other “experts” (like other people who fly on planes like Charlie Sheen) who saw the same video, have never come forward to say the same. So, in addition to being an expert on “controlled demolition” he is also one of the world's foremost experts on visual aircraft identification. With the video we have ALL seen, with thousands of copies around the world, hundreds of people have gone frame by frame, and if it were not the correct aircraft, many someones would have figured it out. With the animosity the main stream press in the U. S. has for the president they would love nothing more than to show something like that! Not to mention what the rest of the world thinks of the U. S.

The next MAJOR flaw in the theory that it was not a commercial airliner hitting the WTC is, what happened to the four real commercial airliners? What happened to their passengers and crew? Did the CIA take these planes to an undisclosed location, destroy the planes and kill the passengers and crew? As with all the other scenarios more and more people would know what really happened and SOMEONE would have told something by now.

Can you think of any other ways for the planes to have been acquired, and then used to do what they did?

Is there ANY scenario which could explain that?

Should we call Charlie Sheen “insane” as HE suggests?
